Yes! If your child has not taken Juni’s Scratch 1, Python 1, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, or 2, this is a great opportunity for them to do a crash course over the summer. You can also have a sibling sign up for a crash course if they haven’t done one of these Juni classes.

Our Summer Camp program consists of 8 1:1 classes in either Coding (Scratch and Python 1) or Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2).

Our classes are designed to fit into your schedule. Pick your ideal frequency for the 8 classes (either 1x/week for 8 weeks or 2x/week for 4 weeks), your start week, and tell us your child's availability.

Camp Juni Offerings
Summer is the perfect time to blend virtual and in-person learning. With our online coding and math camps, you can fit Juni perfectly into your summer schedule. Whether your child has an overnight camp or in-person day camp, you can schedule your Juni camp classes around that, plus we offer easy rescheduling! At the end of the summer, students will have a chance to submit their projects in our Hackathon and win a cash prize!

In our Summer Coding Camp, children will get exposure to concepts that will give them an intro to the world of programming in either Scratch or Python.
At the end of the course, they’ll be able to build a game, get a certificate of completion, and a personalized instructor recommendation for the next course to take if they’d like to continue.
In our Summer Math Camps, your child will cover key concepts to prepare them for the upcoming school year. This is meant either for students who need extra review or students who would like to get ahead.

What are Coding Fundamentals?
Juni's Summer Coding Camp is centered around our introductory course for coding. While our regular courses typically take 4+ months for an in-depth intro to coding, this intensive coding camp will cover core fundamentals of programming in just 8 classes.
Our Introductory Scratch curriculum focuses on the following concepts:

Juni's Summer Math Camps are tailored to your child's current math understanding. You can choose between Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, or Algebra 2. While our regular courses typically take 4+ months for an in-depth study, this intensive math camp will cover core fundamentals in just 8 classes.

Meet Juni Learning
Juni is an award-winning online learning experience that offers private, 1:1 Coding and Math classes to children ages 7–18. Our instructors are selected from top-tier US universities and bring deep technical knowledge and a passion for teaching the bright minds of our future.
Our Scratch camp is great for anyone 7-10 who hasn't done any coding before. Our Python camp can be good for young kids learning Scratch in school, or complete beginners starting at age 11. If your child needs more of a student-paced format, feel free to check out our regular 1:1 classes.
- Camp Juni is a crash course and broad overview of introductory computer programming concepts in Python or Scratch
- It moves at a fast pace, and in order to fully complete the material in 8 classes, students must do some homework in between classes (~30 min).
- If you’d like a student-paced, more in-depth beginning to Python or Scratch, our normal 1:1 Python and Scratch 1 classes go in-depth into concepts and ensure the student feels fully confident in concepts before moving on.
For Python, they will get an intro to Python - the most commonly used programming language in the world. Through Python, they’ll learn to programmatically generate graphic art and build a basic game. For Scratch, they'll learn Scratch - block-based coding that teaches kids the fundamentals of computer science. Block-based coding involves students combining virtual blocks almost like LEGO, but each block corresponds to a command. At the end of both camps, they’ll receive a certificate and a personalized instructor recommendation for the next course to take.
Python is a relatively new programming language. It was developed to be both powerful and streamlined. It has a syntax that is highly readable and easy to understand for those who are not familiar with other programming languages. Python allows students to focus on the concepts of programming rather than specific and finicky syntax. Students who begin with Python learn concepts that are translatable to almost every other programming application. For all these reasons, it is the perfect place to start.
Our summer Math Camp is for ages 10-17 and is designed to meet your child where they’re at in their current math class. These camps are great summer programs for high school students or middle school students wanting either extra help in a course or hoping to get a headstart on material for their math class in the new school year.
